About us
AICA was founded in Lausanne in 2019, the company originally came from the Learning Algorithms and Systems Laboratory (LASA) of EPFL. Now based in the Unlimitrust Campus by SICPA, our software has been developed to fit the needs of industrial robotic lines.
Robotics programming is often complex, time-consuming, and error-prone. During integration, programming represents up to 2 times the price of hardware alone. The AICA System combines cutting-edge AI algorithms with real-time, sensor driven and adaptive robot control to make it easier to deploy sophisticated industrial robotics applications. By streamlining software integration and programming of robotic hardware, AICA makes automation more affordable. Currently deployed by industry leaders, such as the German manufacturer Schaeffler, our solutions support innovative projects for various tasks, including assembly, precision polishing, automatic screwing, bi-manual handling, and EV battery disassembly. By focusing on flexibility and adaptability, we aim to help manufacturers address real-world challenges and unlock the potential of intelligent automation.
